Last two-day race of the 2013 season
The last race of the 2013 season starts on Sunday, 24 November, at 13.45. As many as 18 races, including at a trot, will be held. Apart from the race for the End-of-Season Award, the most important part of the schedule will be competition for the two-year-olds for the Newman Award, which will take place half an hour earlier. Moreover, there will be held two series for the Savvannah Award (mares will meet on Saturday and stallions on Sunday) and the race for the Stanisław Sałagaj Cup (for two-year-old horses of Group II).
An interesting group of horses will compete in the last race of the season. The Derby age-group will be represented by Suo, third in the Great Warsaw Race, reliable Sharif and good, but perhaps a bit giving in to his rivals, chimeric Nerio. The first of them should belong to the group of favourites, but previous start proved that the chestnut already feels the hardships of the season a little and his form is already lower than in September. Of the older horses, Young Boy and Frenchie Lebec, which participated in the outside-group races, distinguish themselves. While the stallion’s form in the second half of the season was far worse than last year, a very good performance of the mare in Wrocław classifies her among the main contenders for victory. Tropical Fly, last year’s winner of this race, meet again with Aischylos, then finishing far behind the horses. The balance of their autumn competitions is 1:1. Dżordżeta rarely starts but performs well. The fact is that she gave in to Frenchie Lebec in Partynice, however, this time she will carry out about 5 kg less than her rival.
The race for the Neman Award is the last outside-group race of the season. The favourite will be Predator, which belongs to the forefront of the age-group, and his most dangerous competitors seem to be the mares Dolomiti and Dabby, which are among the top back-up horses. Others should fight for the lower paid positions.
The race for the Savvannah Award, divided into two series, is scheduled on Saturday for mares, among which stand out Adrenalina, Harmonica and Naura, and on Sunday for stallions. It is more difficult to point out the favourites in the Series B, though such horses should be considered as Wilden, which has a good form, Ahmad and Cepton, which starts for the third time this month.
Practically everything was resolved before the upcoming two-day race in the championship. There should not be any changes among the riders in the top five. Szczepan Mazur (75 winning so far) will gain his first title ahead of Anton Turgaev (64), Alexander Reznikov (58), Viktor Popov (35) and Wiaczesław Szymczuk (28). The trainer Józef Siwonia (41) will be the champion for the second time in a row. Adam Wyrzyk (36) seems likely to be the second because Walicki registered only one horse. Also the fourth place of Michał Romanowski (33) does not seem to be at risk. Theoretically, he could still fight for a place on the podium, but it seems unlikely for his horses to win all four races, for which they were registered.
The bomb up before the first race on Saturday and Sunday at 9.45. We remind you that the double jackpot cumulation will take place on Saturday!
